Member Benefits

There are many benefits to becoming a member of Wichita Independent Neighborhoods:

Networking Opportunities – Quarterly general membership meetings bring members of WIN together to listen to knowledgeable and relevant speakers, and to discuss neighborhood issues and concerns.

Member Support, Advice, and Assistance – WIN Board Members are available to share their wealth of experience with any member on a variety of topics, including but not limited to starting a neighborhood association, organizing neighborhood clean-ups, starting community gardens, running successful meetings, and creating an online presence.

Bloom Grants – WIN members may submit a Bloom Grant application for financial assistance towards a first-time neighborhood project. Planning a new park cleanup and need to buy gloves and trash bags? A Bloom Grant can help. Starting a neighborhood website but can’t afford the upfront fees? A Bloom Grant can help that as well. Visit our Bloom Grant page to learn more.

WIN Newsletter – Monthly WIN-wide newsletters are drafted and made available to all WIN members, providing information on City issues impacting our neighborhoods, advertising upcoming events and activities, and educating the masses about topics of interest.

Technical Assistance – WIN can provide a number of services for member neighborhoods, including funds management (to asset members with special projects in their respective neighborhoods for a reasonable administrative fee) and non-profit coverage extension (for eligible projects and associations), as well as working with City of Wichita and Sedgwick County departments to find viable solutions to neighborhood issues.
